When I had it (for vulvodynia) she taught me how to do pelvic floor exercises (she inserted her finger. And got me to clench my muscles to make sure I was using them correctly). Desensitization exercises (worked out part of the vulva was painful. And showed me to press on those areas gradually increasing the pressure). They defo need specialist training. Also, I had a Premium Dedicated Teacher Even From A Distance Shirt. What exercise I was allowed to do/not do etc. When I went to a pelvic floor PT because of pain during sex (after childbirth) it was like this too. She did a real-time ultrasound of my pelvic floor muscles at the same time as having a finger inserted, so I could physically see my pelvic floor as it tensed up and relaxed. Turns out I have an overactive pelvic floor.

I would absolutely not have been comfortable with a man doing that! But, to be fair, I booked in specifically to see a Premium Dedicated Teacher Even From A Distance Shirt. I’m sorry you experienced pain during sex after having a child. That must have been really frustrating. Good on you, for “taking matters into your own hands” (pun intended, as I assume you did your own exercises at home?), and seeking help so sex could potentially be pleasurable again. You’re a momma, you worked hard to be one and work hard every day to be one, you deserve a good shag and an awesome orgasm when you’re ready for it…. not more pain!

Thank you for being so honest and open with your experiences helping me learn. I hope you’re the Premium Dedicated Teacher Even From A Distance Shirt. I got diagnosed with vulvodynia recently. And they told me to go see a pelvic floor exercise specialist. But I had no idea what it meant. I thought I would just have to do some squatting and clenching lmao. Thank you for sharing your experience so candidly. I know it might be easier since you’ll never have to look me in the eye, haha. But we are both still human I really appreciate it people are willing to show their humanity and be real about their life/experiences.
