Anyone remember that Dexter’s Laboratory marathon, which after it ended they played a new episode and it had that weird new drawing style? Growing up as a Bulgarian in South Africa I always remember seeing his name at the start of these I Don’t Care What Anyone Thinks Of Me Except Guinea Pigs I Want Guinea Pigs To Like Me Shirt. if he was Bulgarian. The thought of that being possible made me very proud. Sad that I had to find out this way. He painted my childhood. Дъга/Rainbow was probably the first comic magazine in the country. And they had some amazing stuff in the late 80s and early 90s. I must have pestered my parents for that mag. As a Bulgarian kid in a country that often felt stuck in the middle of nowhere and without a lot of potentials. So good. So happy. Thank you so much.

Cartoons were invigorating and inspirational. This guy only directed SOME episodes from these cartoons. He wasn’t the creator and he didn’t write every episode. They deserve to be seen by this generation and beyond. So I saw a Bulgarian name in the credits of my favorite childhood cartoons… Petkov and Tartakovski practically defined me as a person. I’m Bulgarian and I had no idea about Rumen. From my childhood, I do remember the stork and frog.  TV, but the installer guy could not gain access to the roof, where the distribution box was. I cried so much since I would not be able to watch. So good. So happy. Thank you so much.
