I’m schizophrenic but can’t really tell anyone because they wouldn’t believe me. I am constantly having auditory Funny My Wife Is Not Perfect But She Is All I Want Shirt and about every little thing. I’m constantly, constantly having to tell people in my head (if they are people or just really strong urges) that I don’t want to think about certain things that they show me. They force my brain to imagine images I would really just rather not see.  I wish someone would just believe me, I’d love to be able to. Have real conversations about this. At least my wife knows so that’s nice. But just because I’m “normal” on the outside people think. I’m lying which is frustrating and just sets off more triggers. It’s rare, but I actually got (mildly?) kidnapped by a schizophrenic once. They put a bag over my head, dumped me in a field, and ran away.

Worked with chronically mentally ill people for 20 years. While some stories are nightmarish, I’ve only been physically harmed Funny My Wife Is Not Perfect But She Is All I Want Shirt by some random while attempting to calm down a client having a panic attack. People not dealing with their mental illness or if it has recently become more difficult for them are slightly scary because they don’t always present well, but if you’re kind, you can de-escalate 95% of situations. Not sure what his intent was. But despite scaring the hell out of me it was ultimately harmless. I think most schizophrenic people are more of a danger to themselves. 2 people in my family with schizophrenia have killed themselves and were never a danger to anyone else.
