The problem with this game however is that it really feels like the story is constructed for. The sake of being contrarian rather than being realistic or true to the characters. The basic premise of revenge for Joel is fine, actually, it makes complete sense in Premium I Don’t Give A Rat’s Graphic Shirt. How quickly the first game would kill off characters and the brutality of the world they’ve built. But then you have things like Ellie being spared twice…by people who murder for a living? We are ‘no better than them’ contrasted to the amount of ‘justified’ slaughter of the cult they commit – baring in mind this is supposed to be personal for them.
Premium I Don’t Give A Rat’s Graphic Shirt, Tank Top, V-neck, Ladies Tee For Men And Women

This doesn’t even really pry into the unbelievable luck that Abby had to just walk alone in a blizzard in hostile territory and find the EXACT person she was looking for. Or Ellie sparing Abby? Bear in mind the only thing Ellie knows about Abby at this point is that Premium I Don’t Give A Rat’s Graphic Shirt. You can interpret it as her ‘breaking the cycle’ but ultimately it’s just baffling to me. They keep trying to push this idea that the world is gritty and realistic but then moments. Like that are just completely antithetical to both the characters and like… how any normal human being would respond. Honestly, this moment would be 1000x better if they allowed for any amount of player agency here. Let me decide if she lives or dies.
Official Premium I Don’t Give A Rat’s Graphic Sweatshirt, Hoodie

Other things like the significantly less compelling cast I guess can be justified with ‘they’re normal people’. But there are countless TV shows that try and be gritty and realistic with a Premium I Don’t Give A Rat’s Graphic Shirt. The real saving grace of a lot of the major moments in this game is the genuinely outstanding performances. The backstories to me tell Ellie actually had a bit of hate for Joel while they lived in the colony, but she ended up deciding to forgive him finally. This is quite a lovely take, the idea of self-loathing and bearing that hatred onto Abby.
