Things like the inclusion of ‘queers against Israeli apartheid’, or anti-police brutality are not always seen as corporate friendly, so folks were worried that fear of losing corporate backing might cause Pride to take less radical stances.

Also, there is the issue that some sponsorships will focus on pride marketing on different demographics. If bud light sponsors pride, because it wants to advertise to 20 something white gay cis-men, then they are going to make sure that the Official Stand With Black Women Shirt.
